EXTON, Pa., Oct. 11 - WPCS International Incorporated (WPCS) (Nasdaq: WPCS), a leader in wireless infrastructure services and specialty communication systems, has announced that it has recently been awarded a variety of new contracts totaling $1.6 million for wireless infrastructure services and specialty communication systems. Included in the contracts awarded to WPCS are projects to be completed for the Field Ironworkers Training Facility located in Benicia, California, the State of Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, ICM Corporation and New Jersey Natural Gas.
In addition to these contracts, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has chosen WPCS, through their Clayborn Contracting subsidiary, to install a specialty communication system which includes changeable message signs and a traffic monitoring camera system in various locations throughout San Luis Obispo County. The system will allow Caltrans the opportunity to monitor traffic flow and alert motorists of weather-related issues, accidents, general traffic congestion and issue amber alerts when necessary.
