NEW YORK, Jan. 24 -5W Public Relations, the fastest growing PR firm in the U.S. announced today the acquisition of The Pinnacle Group, a boutique financial communications firm specializing in emerging growth publicly-traded companies. The acquisition will serve to establish 5W's Financial Communications practice, which will blend traditional Investor Relations with a mainstream media relations approach. A number of clients will join 5W as a result of the acquisition.
Mark Cohen, the former CEO of Long Island based The Pinnacle Group, joins 5W Public Relations as Vice President of the Financial Communications practice. Mr. Cohen will be responsible for growing the business, as well as providing 5W's existing accounts with a unique service that is designed to gain market awareness for companies via a blended IR/PR program. Mr. Cohen has over twenty-five years of investor relations and public relations experience in the industry. Prior to being the Founder and CEO of The Pinnacle Group, he was a Managing Partner of KCSA Public Relations and Vice President of Cameron Associates of New York City.
