ORLANDO, Fla., Jan. 27 -Advanced Golf Technologies (St. George, Utah) announced today at the PGA Merchandise Show the new release of the Pro's Choice Grip-It, the world's first deep-cleaning and re-hydration system for golf grips, clubfaces and golf balls.
The dirt, salts, oils and acids that accumulate on a golfer's golf grips though normal use rot and eat away at the grip material while heat and the effects of the sun dry out the grip. The result is a hard slick grip that is impossible to control even with a golf glove. With only two squirts of the Pro's Choice Solution in the Re-hydration Accelerator tube, the Grip-It is the only personal golf maintenance system able to clean and re-hydrate the grips on an entire set of clubs, restoring them to the soft tacky condition originally intended by the manufacturer. The Grip-It eliminates the need for re-gripping and enables golfers to use the proper light touch without fear of the grip slipping or rotating in the hand. According to a recent article by the National Golf Foundation, "Market research has shown that an improper grip is the single most common fault among amateur golfers and one of the major reasons why they hook or slice the ball."
The Pro's Choice Grip-It System utilizes a technologically advanced solution that is safe, non-toxic and biodegradable and is able to penetrate and re-hydrate a golf grip in as little as 15 seconds.
J.B. Holmes, the 2005 Q-School Qualifying Tournament Medalist, was the only player in a field of over 1000 to use the Pro's Choice Grip-It system on his grips during the three phases of Q-School. Introduced to the Grip-It by his caddie, Michael Carrick, J.B. became the first player in 22 years to go from college to winning the PGA Qualifying Tournament. J.B. is also one of only five players since 2000 to shoot the last six rounds of the final phase of Q-School in the 60s. When asked what he thought of the product during the Sony Open, J.B. said, "Since I've been using the Pro's Choice Grip-It from Q- School to my first start on the PGA Tour, I've played 16 rounds and 14 of them have been under par. It's helped me be assured that I have control of the club head."
PGA Tour player Mark Hensby climbed from 46th to 28th in the world golf ranking in two months when he started using the Pro's Choice Grip-It at the 2005 Memorial Tournament. Mark later placed third in the U.S. Open, won the Scandinavian Masters, and represented the International Team at the President's Cup. Mark said this about the Grip-It after his finish at the U.S. Open: "The Pro's Choice Solution definitely helped me with my control and my distances, especially off my mid-irons, and around the greens, the ball came off very consistent after using the system every time."
Two other problem areas golfers have to deal with are the accumulation of dirt and chemicals on their clubfaces and golf balls from the pesticides, herbicides, fungicides and fertilizers used on golf courses. These chemicals create slick surfaces on the clubface and golf ball resulting in higher loft and shorter distances on shots with a loss in accuracy and ball spin. The Pro's Choice Solution when rubbed on the clubface and golf ball with a towel removes these stubborn chemicals, returning the clubface and golf ball to like-new condition and giving golfers precise control of their shots. Using the Pro's Choice Solution on your ball before every tee shot and before putting is like having a new ball at each tee.
