    ORLANDO, Fla., March 23 - AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAI), today launched a sale for travel to and from all the airline's destinations with fares starting as low as $49*. Travelers may purchase these sale fares at http://www.airtran.com or via AirTran Airways' reservations centers at 1-800-AIR-TRAN. For Spanish, call 1-877-581-9842.

    These special fares are available for purchase through April 4, 2006, and are good for travel through October 4, 2006. Fares are not valid for travel on Sundays. Fares for travel to/from Florida, Grand Bahama Island and Las Vegas are valid April 25 through October 4, 2006. Like all AirTran Airways fares, prices included in this sale are available for one-way travel and do not require a roundtrip purchase or a Saturday night stay.

    * All fares are one-way. All fares are non-refundable and a $50 fee per person applies to any change made after purchase plus any applicable increase in airfare. Fourteen-day advance purchase required. Tickets must be purchased by April 4, 2006. Travel must be completed by October 4, 2006. Fares for travel to/from Florida, Las Vegas and Grand Bahama Island are valid for travel between April 25 and October 4, 2006. Lowest advertised fares are valid on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Additional sale fares are valid for travel on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. Fares are not valid for travel on Sundays.
