WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., March 30 -Beanstalk Networks(R) announced that it has established a data center in the prominent IBM Atlanta e-business Hosting Center. This secondary data center will provide even greater redundancy for OpenClose MTG mortgage clients, as well as act as the disaster recovery site to the company's primary data center which it owns and operates in West Palm Beach, Fla.
Built as a BellSouth corporate mainframe data center, the Atlanta e-business Hosting Center managed by IBM sits on a natural granite foundation with one-foot thick reinforced concrete exterior walls and six-inch thick concrete reinforced ceilings and floors. Built to withstand a non-direct nuclear bomb hit and able to withstand an F5 Tornado, the facility also boasts state-of-the-art power, HVAC and security systems.
The new data center location is of course a SAS 70-certified environment. Statement on Auditing Standards (SAS) No. 70, Service Organizations, is an internationally recognized auditing standard. The requirements of Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 make SAS 70 audit reports even more important to the process of reporting on effective internal controls at service organizations.
"In today's world, outsourced mortgage software providers must deploy adequate controls and safeguards if they intend to host or process data belonging to financial services companies and their clients," said Jason Regalbuto, Beanstalk Networks President and CTO. "I believe the addition of a second, remote SAS 70-certified data center coupled with OpenClose's custom- tailored approach to mortgage software makes us the clear choice for forward- thinking mortgage lenders."
