Electronics at CEDIA Expo 2005
PISCATAWAY, N.J., Sept. 20 /PRNewswire/ -. The jam-packed Crestron trade show booth on Saturday, September 10, at the CEDIA Expo 2005 in the Indianapolis Convention Center, was the site where Electronics Design Group, Inc., of Piscataway, New Jersey, was awarded the first ever Crestron Integration Award for Innovative Design for the "Tree Tops" project which features a very intricate series of events, using Crestron technology, that are triggered when a vehicle enters or exits a residential property.
The award-winning project was conceived, designed and implemented by Electronics Design Group to notify the homeowner when a vehicle enters the property which is set back an 1/8 of a mile from the road. Once a driveway trigger is tripped, a wav file annunciates "DRIVEWAY, DRIVEWAY, DRIVEWAY," to play through Crestron touchpanels. A CCTV camera at the driveway entrance then captures the vehicle entering and transfers the image onto the Crestron touchpanel screen. After a 20 second interval a second CCTV camera captures the vehicle at the front of the house, once again transferring the image to the Crestron touchpanel.

The Crestron Integration Award celebrates the achievements of residential dealers who have embraced Crestron's Total Home Technology solutions. The winners were selected from an elite panel of judges including staff from a premier residential trade publication.
