    Networking Innovator Features Open Approach to Drive Customer-Oriented

    SANTA CLARA, Calif., Feb. 23 - At the upcoming CeBIT 2006, Mar. 9-15, Hannover, Germany, Extreme Networks(R), Inc. (Nasdaq: EXTR), will be showcasing its award-winning open converged network architecture that helps both enterprises and metro service providers build high-performance, secure networks to support mobile and converged applications and services with high reliability.

    At this world-class information technology event, networking professionals can see first hand the latest solutions combining Extreme Networks' open platform with other best-in-class technologies for architecting a network that supports the convergence of voice, video and data. With Extreme Networks' open approach, users can determine an integrated technology path best suited for their needs.

    Stephen Haddock, chief technology officer, will serve as a keynote presenter at the CeBIT "Metro Ethernet Discussion Forum." This discussion provides attendees with detailed expertise on Ethernet and its emergence into a highly effective, scalable and standards-based technology for delivering converged services over carrier networks.
