HSINCHU, Taiwan and SUNNYVALE, Calif., Sept. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Faraday Technology Corporation (TAIEX: 3035), a leading ASIC and IP provider, and SafeNet, Inc. (Nasdaq: SFNT), a global leader in information security, today announced that the two companies have entered a strategic marketing partnership. The agreement will encourage both sales forces to jointly promote custom security chip development capability utilizing SafeNet's security technology and Faraday's ASIC infrastructure. In addition, Faraday will also refer customers whose requirements fit within SafeNet's product portfolio to Safenet. This is a first step of several programs to roll out jointly by the two companies in 2005 and 2006.

With increasing connectivity and bandwidth requirements, the need to protect network traffic with high-performance silicon products has become integral to every network infrastructure, from large enterprises to the small office/home office (SoHo) market.
