and Other Low Power Mobile Electronic Devices

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Aug. 10 - Mobility Electronics, Inc. (Nasdaq: MOBE), a leading provider of innovative portable power and computing solutions for the mobile electronic device user, announced today that it is now shipping the new iGo Auto/Air40 power adapter designed to power and charge most portable DVD player brands and models from any standard DC power source such as a car, boat, RV or airplane.

Demonstrating the ongoing implementation of iGo's patented itip(TM) technology, which allows one adapter to charge multiple devices through the use of interchangeable tips, customers using the iGo Auto/Air40 adapter will also be able to power and charge hundreds of brands and thousands of models of other low-power, mobile electronic (ME) devices such as mobile phones, PDAs, digital cameras or MP3 players, by simply switching the itip.

The adapter is expected to be available for sale online at http://www.igo.com and at select retail locations nationwide this August.

The iGo Auto/Air40 package includes six itips that work with a diverse variety of portable DVD players. Additional itips for other low-power devices are sold separately.

"The iGo Auto/Air40 power adapter provides an excellent solution for travelers. We are delighted to offer yet another solution that will immediately enrich our existing line of DC adapters," said Charles Mollo, chief executive officer of Mobility Electronics. "According to industry analysts, the portable DVD market is expected to increase 40% to more than 11 million units in 2005. The iGo Auto/Air40 adapter is the first universal DC power adapter targeted specifically at the rapidly growing portable DVD player market, and it allows us to expand our market presence and further position our itip technology for strong growth."

The iGo Auto/Air40 power adapter offers the following key features and benefits:

     * Allows power access from a car, boat, RV or airplane -- perfect for

watching DVDs on long road trips or cross-country, or intercontinental

     flights.

     * Equipped with DC connectors that accept power from two different types

of DC outlets: standard cigarette lighter outlets and Empower systems

     found on airplanes.

     * Includes Mobility Electronics' patented itip(TM) technology -- allows

users to power and charge virtually all major brands of ME devices

with a single adapter and interchangeable tips.

     * Features automatic voltage and current regulation -- eliminates the

need to select voltage manually and ensures all devices receive the

     appropriate amount of power.

     * Features automatic temperature protection -- results in much cooler

operation, higher reliability and a longer useful life than competing

     power adapters.
