PALM DESERT, Calif., Jan. 30 // -- DEMO 07 Station #18 -- Software development firm Brevient Technologies LLC. unveiled the public version of its collaboration tool, Jyngle, a mobile group messaging service, today at DEMO 07*FIRST.
Jyngle is a free voice and text messaging service that makes group communication and social networking easier in the real world. Users can create and join unlimited groups for sports teams, volunteer organizations, or even happy hour specials. From their cell phone or the Jyngle Website, users can send and receive time-sensitive messages while on-the-go.
"Jyngle's combination of voice and text capabilities sets it apart from other social and mobile applications," said CEO Matt Lautz. "It expands on ways people currently use their phone by making it easy to share information with individuals and groups during time-sensitive situations. Plus, the free price tag adds appeal."
The concept arose after Lautz, a part-time soccer coach, needed an efficient way to send his team reminders and last-minute cancellations. After mentioning the idea to friends, the number of social groups looking for fast, real-time communication quickly became apparent.
Lautz leveraged Brevient's existing telecommunications infrastructure, used for its Web and audio conferencing product, to develop Jyngle.
Despite personal roots, Lautz expects the largest impact to come from businesses that can use Jyngle as a promotional tool. Businesses can link their Websites to unique URLs for their Jyngle group where anyone, even non-Jyngle members, can opt-in to receive deals and announcements directly on their phone.
"Jyngle's simplicity and accessibility make it a real communication solution for times when email may or may not reach your entire audience," said DEMO Executive Producer, Chris Shipley.
