Textonomy SiteScreen provides peace of mind to advertisers, using results

     of extensive linguistic development

LONDON, Sept. 27 -Adtech London -- Crystal Semantics, the developer of the world's first patented Sense Engine(TM) technology, announces today the launch of a new service to draw to a close the serving of online ads on pages containing inappropriate or controversial content.

Textonomy(TM) SiteScreen enables advertisers to select controversial content types that they would wish to exclude from their campaigns. By working in conjunction with the ad server, SiteScreen ensures that a client's ad inventory can be blocked from appearing on a site where such content is present.

SiteScreen identifies controversial content in such genres as Alcohol, Drugs, Extreme sites (politics, race, religion), Gambling, Nudity, Filesharing, Adult (primarily sexual), Tobacco & Weapons.

The service is currently available in eleven languages including English, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish & Turkish.

Ian Saunders, Managing Director of Crystal Reference Systems Ltd said, "It is no longer acceptable for brands to be seen alongside potentially damaging content. With the increasing amount of user generated content and the industry's reliance upon unsophisticated targeting techniques, this problem will only get worse. Our Textonomy(TM) SiteScreen technology will now ensure that brands will be secure in the knowledge that their interests are being protected."

Textonomy(TM) SiteScreen was devised by leading linguist and one of the world's foremost authorities on language, Dr. David Crystal and is a bi-product of Crystal Semantics patented semantic targeting technology. The Crystal Semantics technology is the result of 8 years and $8 million investment in research and its ground breaking technology harnesses human linguistic intuition, tapping into the semantic relationships between words and the context in which they occur.

The product is designed to interact with all current ad serving technologies in detecting the presence of controversial content on a page before an ad is served. If such content is recognized, SiteScreen will direct the ad server as to the severity of the content. The ad server can then chose to display the ad or not in accordance with the preset conditions agreed with the client at the time of booking the ad. The process can be applied to any form of IAB approved ad media and has applications in display advertising, the delivery of sponsored listing advertising, affiliate marketing or any other form of online advertising.

This unique technology is the first product resulting from ad pepper media's acquisition of Crystal Semantics in March 2006. Commenting on the launch, Ulrich Schmidt, chairman and CEO of ad pepper media, said "This is the first of many innovations that we will be rolling out in coming months as a result of our large scale investment into developing our own leading edge technology for the online advertising sector."

Textonomy(TM) SiteScreen will be rolled out immediately. Initially, this service will be exclusively used on the ad pepper media network.
