BELLEVUE, Wash., May 22 // -- LYNX Medical Systems (LYNX), a leading provider of emergency medicine documentation and revenue management solutions, today announced that it was selected to implement LYNX E/Point facility charging software at El Camino Hospital (ECH), located in California's Silicon Valley. According to the agreement, LYNX will implement E/Point in the ECH Emergency Department (ED), which provides services to more than 40,000 visits annually.

E/Point is an Emergency Department (ED) outpatient facility charging software application that will assist ECH staff record services and resources used during patient visits. The software employs LYNX proprietary ED Outpatient Facility Charging Algorithm, which produces a visit level distribution that accurately reflects patient acuity mix and resource utilization in the ED. E/Point automatically calculates the visit level for consistent, compliant and complete E/M charge assignment. Once charge assignment is completed, the charges are extracted to the hospital billing or financial system. ECH can also access financial and clinical data to better manage ED operations and patient care.
