SAUSALITO, Calif., Oct. 8 // -- The country's premier video game tour, GAME U on XBOX 360, is ready to launch with an exciting array of great new Fall Holiday titles. Over the next six weeks, the National Tour, which is presented by Best Buy, Motorola and IGN.com, is expected to reach 50,000+ videogame enthusiasts at 25 colleges and universities.
Each stop on this tour will feature the highly popular Best Buy Cyber Laptop Bar with interactive demonstrations and competitive gaming competitions. As a new tour sponsor, Motorola will be showcasing their latest high technology headsets in a unique MOTOPLAY, Motorola's Wireless Bluetooth Experience. Motorola will be staging interactive competitions within their environment, including: Time trials with Forza 2 and a Blue Tooth 'Dance Off', giving away Motorola headsets and assorted prizes. Gamers should look no further because the challenge they have been waiting for is here. The Official Xbox Magazine is sponsoring a Halo 3 Challenge, with unique game prizes, at each stop.
GAME U on XBOX 360 reaches the core of the young adult game-playing audience -- college students. These early adopters and game enthusiasts will get the first opportunity to play several newly released titles on Tour.
The Tour will be featuring games from: EA SPORTS -- Madden NFL 08, NCAA Football 08, Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08, NHL 08 and NBA LIVE 08. Midway will be showcasing Strangehold and BlackSite: Area 51. Sierra Entertainment will display World in Conflict, TimeShift and F.E.A.R.: Files and F.E.A.R.: Perseus Mandate. The US Army will show America's Army: True Soilders. From Ubisoft Entertainment: Blazing Angel 2: Secret Missions of WWII. XBOX 360, the Tour Title Sponsor, will have the highly anticipated Halo 3, Forza Motorsport 2, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock and the new PGR4. The games will be displayed on more than 30+ Norcent HD LCD and Plasma Televisions.
