SEOUL, Korea, Sept. 2 - iCurie, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: ICUR), who develops and commercializes next-generation cooling solutions for the PC, communication and display industries, announced today the opening of its new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Guro Industrial Park in Seoul, Korea.
The facility has the capacity to supply more than 700,000 cooling devices a year, and can be expanded to a maximum capacity of more than 1.2 million units a year. The decision for iCurie to invest in this facility was made in March 2005, and, in less than 6 months, the facility is ready for operation.
"With this important investment completed at record time, iCurie has demonstrated to our partners our dedication to design and supply next- generation cooling solutions," said Chief Executive Officer Hakan Wretsell.
An important purpose of the plant is to supply manufacturing test samples to a wide variety of industries. Customers will have the opportunity to test and verify their new designs in close coordination with iCurie's skilled research team.
"We now have the resources and capabilities to rapidly supply up to 500 test units from a real manufacturing environment. With this facility in place, we have become a full solution provider in the field of thermal heat management," said founder and Chief Technology Officer Dr. Jeong Hyun Lee.
Just days before the inauguration, the Korean Small and Medium Business Administration, an affiliate of the Korean Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy, announced that it will sponsor the ISO-certification of this iCurie manufacturing facility.
