MONTREAL, July 5 /CNW Telbec/ - Mr. Robert Lamarre, president of IMAFS
inc. is proud to announce that yesterday evening, the Board of Directors of
the Société de Transport de Montréal approved a major contract with a local
firm, IMAFS Inc., creator of an inventory management software. Following a
comprehensive public tender, the STM has provided itself with a set of IT
tools to better manage its inventories and improve the maintenance parts'
service levels.
According to Mr. Serge Migneault, Supply Chain Director at the STM, the
IMAFS's team has demonstrated it had the technological tools to meet the
organization's needs. The software suite will enable greater availability of
spare parts, network rolling stock and busses. In addition, it will permit a
tighter control of inventories. The STM plans to gradually implement the new
inventory management parameters this fall.
This association will enable IMAFS Inc to provide inventory management
solutions for the STM as well as improved demand forecasting through its
IM@FS/SMART and SmartForecasts systems.
IMAFS Inc is a young information management enterprise which develops
software inventory management and forecasting tools. This software is
currently used by several large Quebec firms.
Both a creator and distributor of technological tools customized to meet
the needs of today's managers, IMAFS Inc looks to optimize supply chain
