Kaiser Permanente Announces New Leader for National, Multi-State Purchasers

OAKLAND, Calif., Jan. 30 // -- Jill Rivers has been named Vice President, National & Multi-state Accounts. In this role, Rivers will have overall responsibility for managing Kaiser Permanente's National Accounts, an important business line as purchasers seek effective solutions to manage their employees' overall health and productivity.

    In announcing Rivers' appointment, Lawrence B. Leisure, Senior Vice President, Sales and Account Management affirmed, "Despite her relatively short tenure at Kaiser Permanente Jill Rivers is already well known within the organization. She has been working closely with Kaiser Permanente's East Coast customers, as well as working to develop our next generation of customer reporting -- so important in responding to customers' needs for increased cost and utilization transparency."

    Prior to her promotion to Vice President, Rivers served as Director, National Accounts East, in Rockville, Maryland. Rivers began her career at Travelers as a financial analyst, progressing to more senior roles there, and at Aetna Corp. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente in March 2006, she was the group and healthcare practice leader for Watson Wyatt's office in Washington, D.C.

    Rivers earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut.
