Ontario Voters Concerned about Effects of High Tuition Fees

TORONTO, March 19 - - In advance of the 2007 Ontario Budget, the
Canadian Federation of Students will be releasing new public opinion polling
data about Ontario voters' attitudes toward the McGuinty Government's
post-secondary education policy.
The poll focused on the affordability of post-secondary education and the
fairness of tuition fees at colleges and universities in the province. The
representative data outline Ontarians' opinions just months before the 2007
Ontario general election.
Representatives of students' and labour unions will be on hand to present
the data in the context of the 2007 federal budget and to outline expectations
of the McGuinty government for the 2007 Ontario budget.
