TORONTO, Nov. 23 - - Over 16,000 kids across Canada took the
initiative to nominate their schools for a Bullying Awareness Week award,
answering the call, "tell us how you and your school stand up to bullying."
Pleasantville Public School has been named as one of only four schools across
Canada to receive the award, a rally sponsored by Astral Media's Family
Channel in partnership with PREVNet, a national network of Canadian
researchers, community organizations and governments committed to ending
bullying (www.prevnet.ca).

Celebrity co-hosts, Michael Seater ("Derek") and Ashley Leggat
("Casey") from the Family Channel series "Life With Derek."
Presentation and activities that offer a unique "behind-the-
scenes" experience for students, including a sneak peak
screening of a bullying-themed episode of the Family Channel
series "Life With Derek," the opportunity for each student to
sit in a director's chair to film a "stand UP!" shout out and
the chance to pose with Michael and Ashley in a photo shoot.
