SPARKS, Nev., Feb. 5 /-/ -- SulphCo(R), Inc. (Amex: SUF) has responded to a published article in Barron's dated February 5th, 2007.

    The Board of Directors recently made a major move in positioning a new CEO as well as reinstating a former high profile board member in an effort to improve the development of the SulphCo(R) technology as well as increase the transparency of the Company's communication to the investment community.

    In a conference call on January 29th, 2007 SulphCo(R) clearly laid out the current status of the technology and the efforts management was undertaking to validate the Company's claims. Chairman of the Board, Robert van Maasdijk stated, "While we realize that questions have been raised under the previous CEO that could warrant concern, we believe that we are meeting these issues head-on and that we will maintain our dedication to continuing our transparency in communicating our progress as it unfolds."
