PALM DESERT, Calif., Jan. 28 // -- xtranormal, a company empowering individuals through personalized, media-rich, Web-based communications, today announced that it will officially launch its new creative platform at DEMO 08, a semi-annual conference taking place from January 28-30, 2008 at Desert Springs, in Palm Desert, CA.

xtranormal will exhibit its product in station 42 at DEMO 08. DEMO 08 will give entrepreneurs, corporate executives, venture capitalists, and journalists an early look at the most noteworthy emerging technologies in the marketplace.

"We actively seek out technologies that could significantly impact the marketplace and shape trends into the future, and we selected xtranormal for DEMO 08 because we believe this creative platform will change the way that people communicate on the Internet," said Chris Shipley, executive producer of DEMO. "The xtranormal platform capitalizes on the online social networking trend by offering user-friendly, interactive multimedia tools that people can now use to present and express themselves online."

xtranormal has developed a unique platform that enables individuals to create near-life 3D profiles, talk shows, music shows, newscasts, and Web clips or series. Users bring characters and scenes to life quickly and easily, and once satisfied with their creation, they share their content with friends, or post it to any Web site they want.

"We are excited to unveil our platform for personalized, Web-based digital communications," said Richard Szalwinski, the founder of xtranormal. "Finally people can move from typing blogs and editing clip art to creating their own broadcasts or shows the way pros do-with sophisticated visual techniques and impact."

The proprietary and patented platform can be accessed from xtranormal's main portal http://www.xtranormal.com; in the future, and with partners, xtranormal plans to launch portals dedicated to specific demographics. Beta testing of the platform will be followed by a full launch in April 2008. At this time the company will also offer a downloadable desktop application with features targeted for hobbyists and professionals by the fall of 2008.
