engages in the development and manufacture of small bore vascular grafts or synthetic blood vessels, made of ChronoFlex, used in the treatment of cardiovascular disease.

CardioTech also markets polyurethane elastomers for use in implantable devices, such as stents, artificial hearts, and vascular ports.

Its markets include products for use in cardiac surgery, myocardial management, infusion therapy, and post operative blood salvage.

The company sells its products through medical distributors in approximately 50 countries through out the world.

CardioTech International was founded in 1993, as a subsidiary of PolyMedica Corporation, and was spun-off from PolyMedica in 1996.
