Radiation Therapy Services, Inc.

(RTS), through its subsidiary, 21st Century Oncology, Inc., provides radiation therapy services to cancer patients.

It owns, operates, and manages treatment centers focused on providing radiation treatment alternatives, ranging from conventional external beam radiation to technologically advanced options.

As of December 31, 2004, the company operated 21 internally developed treatment centers, 25 acquired treatment centers, and 10 hospital-based treatment centers.

Its treatment centers are clustered into 19 regional networks in 10 states, including Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Kentucky, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, and Rhode Island.

RTS’ radiation therapy services and treatments include intensity modulated radiation therapy, respiratory gating, 3-D conformal treatment planning, patient targeting system, stereotactic radiosurgery, high-dose rate remote brachytherapy, and low-dose rate brachytherapy.

Its radiation therapies are referred by primary care physicians, medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, urologists, pulmonologists, neurosurgeons, and other physicians within the medical community.

The company was founded by Howard M.

Sheridan, Daniel E.

Dosoretz, and Michael J.

Katin in 1983.

RTS was incorporated under the name Radiation Therapy Regional Centers, Inc.

in 1997 and changed its name to Radiation Therapy Services, Inc.

in 1998.

The company is headquartered in Fort Myers, Florida.
